Amaris Custom Homes has been selected by the MN Chapter of the US Green Building Council to feature our recently finished LEED home in Northfield, MN for the LEED for Homes Tour October 12, 2011 4:00-6:00PM. Our partcipation could not be possible without the support and understanding of our unbelievable clients who agreed to open their home for this event. If you have wondered what a "green" home looks like or how it works, this is an excellent opportunity to stop in learn more at this educational event. Today, Amaris Custom Homes is announcing it has completed all the necessary requirements to become licensed to build single and two-family residential homes in the State of Wisconsin.
"We look forward to receiving the state approval in the next several weeks. This additional licensing in the State of Wisconsin will allow us to build in Wisconsin to better serve our customers in the the larger Twin Cities market area", said Raymond Pruban, Founder and Chief Manager of Amaris Custom Homes.

Amaris Custom Homes is very pleased to announce the addition of Jay Kendall to our team. Jay will perform the function of construction manager. Jay has more than 27 years of experience in the residential construction industry including being an award winning builder with two Reggie Awards and one Trillium Award. Jay has built over 600 homes at a price range of $250,000 to $550,000 in the Twin Cities and surrounding suburbs. Today, the MN Department of Labor and Industry updated the state website officially recognizing our name change from Solid Ground Construction, LLC to Amaris Custom Homes, LLC . This completes a journey that begin almost five years ago when the company began re branding and refocusing its business towards green building. Today, Amaris Custom Homes, LLC has emerged a leader in offerable custom green built homes in the Twin Cities market.

Amaris Custom Homes, LLC announced plans today to install its first Westinghouse A/C Solar Voltaic System since becoming a solar dealer in September, 2010. Our customer already was building a very energy efficient custom green home with Amaris, but decided to add both Geo Thermal and Solar Voltaic Systems, which will reduces the homes need for energy by as much as 70% versus a code built home.

Since 2003, many of our customers and vendors have known us as Solid Ground Construction, LLC, which is the legacy name of the Company. Today, the last legal step was taken with the MN Department of Industry and Labor towards permanently changing our name to Amaris Custom Homes, LLC, LLC.
The re-branding and re-positiioing of the company as a green builder began more than four years ago and has been pivotal in Amaris Custom Homes, LLC emerging as a leader in affordably priced green homes in Minnesota and beyond.

Today, Amaris Custom Homes, LLC received approval from the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) to become a WaterSense Partner. By partnering with the EPA''s Water Sense Program, Amaris is strengthening its commitment to green building in the Twin Cities market.
"We're very excited to partner with the EPA and WaterSense to build more efficient homes, save homeowners money, and protect natural resources," said Raymond Pruban, founder of Amaris Custom Homes, LLC. We are very proud to have learned that one of our green built homes was selected by the International Code Council as a case study for the 2009 Green Residential Study Companion. Photographs of and references to our Leed for Homes Gold project were included in at least a dozen different places in the guide. Being recognized by the ICCÂ in this way is absolutely huge and shows our leadership in the green building industry.
"The 2009 Green Residential Building Study Companion is a comprehensive study guide to assist the user in the review and application of the ICC 700-2008 National Green Building Standard (NGBS), and the referenced code sections in the 2009 International Energy Conservation Code (IECC)".

Today, Amaris Custom Homes, LLC received notice that it has been approved by the EPA (Enviornmental Protection Agency) as a Lead Certified Firm. Amaris Custom Homes, LLC has been trained and agrees to implement Lead Safe Practices on any pre-1978 housing giving our customers peace of mind that we are taking the necessary precautions during remodeling on any home containing lead.

Today, Amaris Custom Homes, LLC's Solar Rewards installer account was approved by Excel Energy. Amaris Custom Homes, LLC is now able to fill out our customer's application and track progress. In addition, all Excel Energy customers are able to select Amaris as their installer on the Excel Energy Web site.

Today, Amaris Co. was approved to become a Westinghouse certified solar provider for Westinghouse's New A/C Solar Voltaic Systems. The addition of the Westinghouse Solar system to our product lines allows Amaris to offer unprecedented value in its new home construction and increases the separation of Amaris as a New Generation Builder from old paradigm builders said Raymond Pruban, Chief Manger of Amaris.

Amaris Custom Homes, LLC is pleased to announce that Raymond Pruban has successfully completed the Federal EPA requirements to become EPA Lead Certified Renovators. Also, Amaris Custom Homes, LLC is in the process of becoming an EPA Lead-Safe Certified Firm and shall meet all requirements with regards to the new EPA Lead Regulation 40 CFR Part 745.
